NDHU CIS Dancing Team Wins National Intercollegiate Indigenous Dancing Awards

The dancing team of the College of Indigenous Studies (CIS), National Dong Hwa University (NDHU), won overall champion, champion in traditional dance, and 2nd runner-up in creative dance, at the 5th National Intercollegiate Indigenous Dancing Contest on November 27, 2010. The team was also awarded with the honor of Supremacy in Indigenous Dance.

Organized by the Council of Indigenous Peoples, Executive Yuan, the National Intercollegiate Indigenous Dancing Contest aims at encouraging and promoting indigenous cultures among students.

The Supremacy in Indigenous Dance is the highest honor of the National Intercollegiate Indigenous Dancing Contest and is awarded to a team that wins overall championship for three consecutive years.

NDHU CIS dancing team is the first team ever in receiving the honor of Supremacy in Indigenous Dance.
