International Culture Performance at the Remote Indigenous School

To promote general education at Dong Hwa University, the English - taught course ”Introduction of Taiwan” is offered for all undergraduate students. The instructor of the course is Dr. Cheng - Hsiung Lu who is devoted to enhance Taiwan cultures and international understanding via cross - cultural curriculum in his class. Further, the teaching results are transformed into presentable cross - cultural event held at the remote schools to showcase the global village awareness of the schoolchildren and establish the communication bridge between Taiwanese and international students.

Besides, Dong Hwa University has successfully established a diverse culture campus with abundant foreign students. As students from abroad study at the university, they present themselves as ambassadors for international cultures. Therefore, Dr. Lu leads them of 12 nationalities such as Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, Mongolia, USA, Nicaragua, Ivory Coast, Czech Republic, Gambia, to perform in Nan Hua Elementary School, and the multicultural extravaganza of student’s talents really arouse the audiences’ passion to learn different cultures of the world.

As pictures show, the international culture performance is held in Nan Hua Elementary School to draw the curiosity and interest for the young schoolchildren and their counterpart university students to achieve a memorable experience of encountering friends from afar.
